Two murders — that of a 30-year-old man by his neighbour and the other of a dhaba owner by his worker — were reported from the city last night.

In the first incident, 30-year-old Krishan Kumar was stabbed to death while his two younger brothers were injured following a fight with members of a family in Kajheri, Sector 52, one of whom attacked them with a knife.

According to the police, the victim’s brother Ricky had an altercation with Chokad that lead to the fight. Seeing the two fight, Ricky’s brother Babla also joined the fight. Chokad’s brother Changa also reached the spot and joined the fight.

Soon, Ricky’s eldest brother Krishan reached the spot to pacify his brothers. Chokad allegedly stabbed Krishan in the stomach.

The police said Chokad also stabbed Ricky on the back and attacked Babla. However, the knife hit his hand, leaving him injured too.

The police said the accused’s parents, Titu and Rekha, were holding Babla when he was attacked.

The accused fled from the spot after the incident. All three injured brothers were rushed to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, from where they were referred to the PGI.

The police said Krishan was declared brought by doctors at the PGI. His brothers are under treatment at the PGI.

Soon after the incident, residents of the area gathered at the spot demanding the immediate arrest of the accused. Various police teams were constituted and Chokad, Changa and Rehka were arrested by the police. Raids were being conducted to nab Titu.

The deceased was an auto driver and was married. After a postmortem, his body was handed over to his kin.

A case of murder has been registered against the four accused at the Sector 36 police station on a complaint of Babla.

In another incident, a roadside dhaba owner was murdered allegedly by one of his workers last night. The victim’s neck was slit while he was sleeping inside a power station in Sector 42.

According to the police, the victim has been identified as Mahi Pal (52), a native of Assam.

A police official said Mahi Pal had employed Vijay around 15 days ago, who was from the same village in Assam. Last night, the duo took liquor after which Vijay started beating up another worker of the dhaba, who is a minor. The victim objected to it and had an altercation with Vijay.

The victim ran a dhaba on the road outside the power station in Sector 42. He used to sleep inside the power station. The victim went to sleep after which Vijay slit his neck. The assailant also stabbed the victim on his face and fled from the spot. The knife used in the crime has been recovered by the police from the spot.

A case of murder has been registered against Vijay at the Sector 36 police station.

The police said the accused also stole the victim’s mobile. The last location of the mobile was traced to Delhi.
