Uttar Pradesh defeated Chandigarh by 24 runs in a Vinoo Mankad Trophy match in Indore today. Winning the toss and opting to bowl first, Chandigarh lads restricted Uttar Pradesh to 155 in 41.5 overs. Uttar Pradesh had a shaky start as they were reduced to 36/4 in 10 overs. However, timely contributions by Dhruv Jurel (54 off 79 balls, with six boundaries) and Kritagya Singh (44 off 74 balls, with four boundaries and one six) helped Uttar Pradesh reach a fighting total.

Sehbaz Singh (2/17), Yuvraj Choudhary (2/25), Amit Shukla (2/20) and Arjun Azad (2/17) did the majority of the damage, while Sarthak Sharan (1/20) was the other wicket taker for the bowling side. In reply, the Chandigarh boys were bundled out for 131 runs in 44.4 overs.

Surya Yadav was the top-scorer for Chandigarh with 27 runs, while Akshit Rana (22) and Mandeep SIngh (17) also failed to convert their starts to big scores. Kritagya Singh, Anchit Yadav and Sameer Rizvi claimed two wickets each, while Aaquib Khan and Rishabh Bansal took one wicket each.
