PANCHKULA: Showers once again brought misery for residents of Panchkula, especially Sector 19, where houses and roads were flooded with water after downpour. Meanwhile, a temporary road in Barwala was also washed away.

Showers once again brought misery for residents of Panchkula, especially Sector 19, where houses and roads were flooded with water after downpour. Meanwhile, a temporary road in Barwala was also washed away.

In Sector 19, residents were again seen saving their belongings as rainwater entered their houses. Roads in Sectors 12, 15, 16 and the Industrial Area were also seen waterlogged.

The seasonal nullah in Sector 19 also overflowed. Bhaskar, a resident of Sector 19, said they faced such conditions during every rainfall in Sector 19. “The authorities have miserably failed to provide a permanent solution to this problem,” he said.

Another resident, Monika, said since morning, she was busy saving her household articles. Even motorists faced a tough time. Varun Gupta, whose car broke down in the Industrial Area, said he called a mechanic, who said the car would be repaired by tomorrow only.
