Two motorcycle-borne miscreants snatched a gold chain from a woman in Sector 40. The victim was pushed to the ground, leaving her injured.

Sources said the victim, 48-year-old Surekha, was targeted by the miscreants while she was going to a woman’s house, who stays in her neighborhood, around 4 pm.

The victim stated that the pillion rider got down from the motorcycle and walked up to her and caught hold of her chain. Since the gold chain was heavy, the miscreant pulled the chain with force following which the victim fell on the road. She suffered injuries on her neck and arms.

The victim raised the alarm following which local residents gathered at the spot and informed the police after which the SHO of the Sector 39 police station reached at the spot.
