Woman loses Rs 20,000 to snatchers

Chandigarh, April 18

A Sector 45 resident is the latest victim of motorcycle-borne snatchers in the city. Gurinder Kaur was returning from Sector 8 and was near her house when two motorcycle-borne youths snatched her purse and fled from the spot. As per her complaint, the purse contained Rs 20,000, besides credit/debit cards and some documents.

Unlike most other cases, the victim was able to note down the registration number of the motorcycle, which was forwarded to the police. However, police investigation revealed that the number was fake and was allotted to a car. TNS
