Chandigarh: The second bioethics workshop was organised at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) today.

Prof KN Pathak, chairman, and Dr Vikas Gautam, convener, said delegates were apprised of the mandate, role and activities being undertaken by the committee to promote ethics in medical research. Prof Jagat Ram complimented the Institutional Ethics Committee.

Topics related to the Medical Education and Research Cell, IEC (intramural), Institutional Committee on Stem Cell Research, IEC (extramural), Research Review Committee, Data Safety Monitoring Committee, and Institute Animal Ethics Committee were discussed. — TNS
