CHANDIGARH: The three-day Inter-state Wheelchair Cricket Tournament organised for persons with physical disabilities culminated with a workshop on leadership and capacity building on peace and development through sports held on the campus of the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD) here.

Chandigarh, October 23

The three-day Inter-state Wheelchair Cricket Tournament organised for persons with physical disabilities culminated with a workshop on leadership and capacity building on peace and development through sports held on the campus of the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD) here. The tournament was facilitated by the Association of Professional Social Workers and Development Practitioners in association with the RGNIYD. DC, Chandigarh, Ajit Balaji Joshi, who was the chief guest, encouraged the participants who displayed extraordinary skill during matches. The event saw participation from 55 players from Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and UP. The participants endorsed the cleanliness drive being carried out by the Panchand Society. — TNS
