Chandigarh, May 24
A 23-year-old youth was killed while two others were injured when the motorcycle they were triple-riding was hit by a recklessly-driven truck near Sector 48 last night. The victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
According to the police, the victim, identified as Kuldeep Kumar, a resident of Faidan village, was triple-riding along with Ajay and Kashi Ram, residents of the same village. The injured were rushed to the hospital where Kuldeep was declared brought dead. He had a private job in Sector 47. The truck driver, Harinder Kumar, a native of Aligarh district, was arrested from the spot. —TNS
