252 volunteers donate blood

A blood donation camp was organised by Sameen Singh Charitable Society at a local hospital here today. As many as 252 volunteers donated blood in the camp. Society president, Dr Gurwinder Singh, said, “Our society organises blood donation camps every year, besides promoting sports and other creative activities among youth.”

Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Blood donation can help save lives during emergency conditions. The people should come forward to donate blood regularly as it does not cause any weakness and other troubles to donors.”
