7 booked in firing incident

Tarn Taran: Amandeep Singh of Marhana village and his other five or six unidentified supporters have been booked under Sections 336, 34 of the IPC and Sections 25, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act by the Sarhali police for firing in Sarhali village on Wednesday. The police said the accused fired at Amarjit Singh of Sarhali village when he was going to his village. An old controversy was said to be the root cause behind the incident.
