Amritsar, January 13
Mother of Jaswinder Singh Jahangir, the Aam Admai Party (AAP) candidate from the Attari constituency, died due to cardiac arrest at her house in Jahangir village, 10 km from Amritsar, in the morning today. The deceased, Sawinder Kaur (64), was suffering from respiratory disease.
A large number of AAP activists and residents of the area attended her cremation today. They expressed grief over her sudden demise. Supporters of the party said demise of Jaswinder’s mother would not affect canvassing as the general public was campaigning for the AAP.
