In an attempt to motivate party workers for the coming Municipal Corporation elections, senior BJP leader Avinash Rai Khanna today held a meeting with heads of different wings of the district unit of the saffron party to assess the party’s campaign.

Khanna, who is the BJP election in charge for the MC elections, said Congress leaders contesting the civic body elections could not win as the party came to power after spreading lies and making false promises.

He said the ruling party had not fulfilled even a single promise made in its election manifesto and the electorates were feeling ditched and duped. He hoped this would go against the Capt Amarinder Singh government and the SD-BJP coalition would retain the majority in the civic body elections.

He said the SAD-BJP coalition had fulfilled all its promises in its tenure. He mentioned that high-value infrastructure projects like the Heritage Street to Golden temple, the BRTS project, the City bus service and other projects were completed on time, as promised.

He exhorted ward leaders to propagate these messages among voters, so that they can make the right choice.

BJP Women Wing head Amarjit Kaur, Youth Wing head Monu Mahajan, SC Wing head Happy Khosla, OBC Wing head Joginder Bawa and Minority Wing head were present on the occasion.
