BJP seeks FIR against Khaira

Amritsar, June 19

A local BJP leader has demanded registration of an FIR against Aam Aadmi Party leader and Leader of Opposition in Vidhan Sabha, Sukhpal Singh Khaira, for allegedly supporting the Sikh Referendum 2020.

District BJP secretary Satnam Kaur said a case for sedition should be registered against the AAP leader. Support from an elected and prominent leader would only encourage separatist forces, she said. She stated that certain forces had been trying to disrupt the peace which was attained after many sacrifices. She also demanded from the AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, to clear his stand on the issue. The Delhi CM should clear if he too feels the same way as Khaira, asked Satnam Kaur.

She also criticised the state government and Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh for not talking action against Khaira. — TNS
