Amritsar, June 14

Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) is all set to record the staff recruitment process for its various departments, regional campuses and constituted colleges. Interviews for the same are to begin from June 18.

GNDU Vice-Chancellor Jaspal Singh Sandhu said, “The aim is to ensure that all candidates are recruited in a fair manner on merit basis. There shall be an audio-video record of the communication between the candidates and the interviewer. We want each and every one to be accountable for their duties.”

The university intends to follow the procedure for all recruitment henceforth.

The university has modified the course of their recruitment as the applications instead of being evaluated by the office of the Dean, Academics, will now be given to board of controllers for different subjects. The board comprises of experts, academicians and heads of departments concerned.

GNDU Registrar Karanjeet Singh Kahlon said, “The institution is recruiting massively after a long hiatus. We have around 400 contractual vacancies and more than 15 permanent jobs."

After the selection, the names of the selected candidates will go to the syndicate and then the appointments will be finalised.
