Amritsar: Veteran BJP firebrand leader Laxmi Kanta Chawla has come to the support of the cops who have been placed under suspension in connection with the CM camp office raid. She said such action would only demoralise police officials. In a letter to Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and DGP Suresh Arora, she pointed out that next time if a police team conducts a similar raid, it would have to first see whether the structure or the building belonged to a political leader. The cops would hesitate in performing their duties. She said why cops were not suspended whenever a murder or a robbery took place or a woman was molested? TNS
