Chhina promises grants from Centre for development

AMRITSAR: The BJP candidate for the Amritsar Lok Sabha byelection, Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, today promised voters that he would bring 100 per cent grants from the Centre for the overall development of the holy city.

The BJP candidate for the Amritsar Lok Sabha byelection, Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, today promised voters that he would bring 100 per cent grants from the Centre for the overall development of the holy city.

He was addressing election meetings at various places in the Amritsar (West) constituency here today. 

He demanded votes for the development works undertaken by the SAD-BJP government in the state and the Modi government in the Centre. He said he would be available to his voters, as he would not fly away to Mumbai like Navjot Singh Sidhu or to Patiala like Capt Amarinder Singh, like former Members of Parliament from here did.

He said the SAD-BJP government had strengthened the road network and built bridges apart from beautification of various religious places including Golden Temple, Durgiana Temple and Valmik Sthal at Ram Tirath.

He also elaborated Swachh Bharat programme of building toilets for the downtrodden, houses for the poor and village roads of the central government besides the need to give an impetus to the industry in the border areas to generate jobs to check unemployment. He stated that there is a large number of schemes for the people and it is the duty of an MP to get these implemented, as he promised to make the maximum attendance in Parliament to seek solutions for the grievances of the public.
