DC inspects full-dress rehearsal for I-Day

Rana Gurjit Singh, Power and Irrigation Minister, would hoist the national flag on Independence Day at Gandhi ground. This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Kamaldeep Singh Sangha after watching the full dress rehearsal here today.

Police Commissioner SS Srivastava said contingents of police, home guard, NCC cadets, NSS scouts and girl guides would participate in the march-past on August 15.

Students participated in the PT show during the rehearsal. Later, a colourful cultural show was presented by students. Sangha said preparations for the final show had been completed. Later, the DC conducted a meeting with the officials of various departments and asked them to ensure presence of government employees during the function.
