Dr Sandhu is GNDU VC

Prof (Dr) Jaspal Singh Sandhu joined Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) as Vice Chancellor in the presence of Registrar Prof KS Kahlon and other officials here today.

Prof Sandhu reached the university without any fanfare. After taking his charge, he left for Sri Harimandir Sahib to pay obeisance. The VC was the secretary, UGC, and professor in the Department of Sports Medicine and Physiotherapy at the GNDU in 2004. He had established the first Department of Sports Medicine in the Indian university system.
