Nearly a week after the arrest of notorious drug smugglers from the Tarn Taran area, the Special Task Force (STF) has started investigations into the financial and immovable assets collected by them from the alleged drug money.
The STF has arrested two drug smugglers, Sukhchain Singh alias Chaina of Rajoke and Jaspal Singh of Waan Tara Singh, with 1.450 kg of heroin while their accomplice, Baba Sonu of Mahawa village, was still on the run.
BK Singla, DSP, STF said the police was now looking into their credentials and assets, whether the latter were built from drug money. The police was also looking into the present status of the cases registered against the two.
