Event depicting Punjab’s culture to be held today

AMRITSAR: To promote the rich culture of the state, the district administration will organise an event named ‘Art camp India at 70’ at Urban Haat on Tuesday.

To promote the rich culture of the state, the district administration will organise an event named ‘Art camp India at 70’ at Urban Haat on Tuesday.

The event is being organised on the instructions of the Urban Development Ministry. Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu will attend the event as chief guest.

Deputy commissioner Kamaldeep Singh Sangha said, “The event will commence at 3 pm. A number of activities, including painting competition, slogan writing, collage and poster-making competitions, depicting the culture of the Punjab will be organised at the event. It is matter of great pride that Amritsar is among the four cities to be chosen as heritage city.”

A number of eminent personalities will also be honoured on the occasion.
