Amritsar, January 11
In a shocking incident, city police found dead foetus near Guru Nanak Dev Hospital here last midnight. The police registered a case under Section 318 (concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body), IPC, against unknown persons. Investigating officer Madan Singh said the foetus was found from backside of the hospital by Punjab Home Guard Nirmal Singh. It was found wrapped in a piece of cloth in shrubs. He said further investigation was under progress. — TNS
