IIFA celebrates Basant fest

AMRITSAR: The Indian Academy of Fine Arts today celebrated the Basant festival with great enthusiasm at an event titled Raga Rang Basant.

The Indian Academy of Fine Arts today celebrated the Basant festival with great enthusiasm at an event titled Raga Rang Basant. Various classical and vocal musical items were performed in the event. Artistes such as Shurti Kumar, Deepti Raj, Richa Aneja and Deva Suraksha added life to the event with their performances.

The show was presided over by District Excise and Taxation Commissioner Harinder Pal Singh as chief guest. DAV management chairman Sudarshan Kapoor as the guest of honour.

The guests hailed the performances given by artistes on the occasion. IAFA members said such programmes should be held regularly.

Sangeeta Singh, Paramjit Kumar, Jasmeet Nayyar and Dr Rajesh Sharma among others were present.
