Amritsar, April 21

Various schools in the city celebrated Earth Day on Saturday. Ryan International School, Amritsar celebrated the day with great zeal and fervour. Tiny tots of Montessori–I showcased their talent by colouring a worksheet with Earth drawn on it while Montessori-III toddlers performed handprinting.

A fancy dress competition was held in Montessori- III. Students bought multifarious plants and planted them on the school premises and nearby areas. The aim of the move was to spread the message of promoting conservation and emphasising on the vital role plants play in our eco-system.

A PowerPoint presentation was shown to students of Class II highlighting the importance of this day. Students of Class III to X participated in an elocution on ‘Our promise to Earth’ and postermaking competition.

Students of DAV Public School held a special assembly and shared their views about the importance of environment conservation and how to work towards it.
