In order to mark the 100th anniversary of Indian revolution started in 1917, Indian Revolutionary Marxist party (IRMP) today held a convention at its office located at Albert Road here today.
Speaking on the occasion, its general secretary Mangat Ram Pasla, criticised the BJP government at Centre and Congress government in Punjab for ignoring issues concerning the common man. He alleged that two parties were adopting anti-people policies and both have failed to fulfil their promises made during their poll campaigns and manifestoes. The speakers took a pledge to get these promises fulfilled and implemented in letter and spirit.
Pasla said even after 70 years of Independence; farmers, labourers, dalits, unemployed and youth were still suffering. He said farmers were committing suicides while youths were inclined towards. They were taking to crime.
Prime Minister Narendera Modi’s moves in the form of demonetisation and Goods and Service tax have done nothing good for common man.
