AMRITSAR: Gurnam Singh (42), a resident of Sangrana village falling under the Rangarnangal police station in Batala, died in a road mishap near the bus stand here today.

Amritsar, June 25

Gurnam Singh (42), a resident of Sangrana village falling under the Rangarnangal police station in Batala, died in a road mishap near the bus stand here today.

He fell while alighting from a bus and ran over by it. He had come to the city for buying some medicines.

The police have booked the driver of the bus, Harbhajan Singh, under Section 304-A, IPC, in this regard.

Satwant Singh, in-charge, bus stand police chowki, said the driver escaped from the spot and raids were on to arrest him. A case had been registered after recording the statement of Narinder Singh, a relative of the deceased.
