Vikas Manch Punjab (VMP) organised a march to sensitise residents about the ill-effects of fire crackers here and appealed the residents not to burst crackers on Diwali to keep the atmosphere clear from pollution.

The activists of the VMP after its meeting marched to the bazaars of the town. Dr. Kashmir Singh Sohal, president of the Manch, said it was not worth bursting crackers and to waste money for mere pleasure of few seconds.

He also said crackers pollute the atmosphere which was not good for the old aged patients. The Manch appealed the residents to plant trees on the occasion.

The March of the Manch was appreciated by the residents.
