MC comes up with helpline numbers

The Municipal Corporation (MC) has launched helpline numbers for residents to lodge their complaints on waterlogging or choked sewerage.

Gurlovleen Singh Sidhu, MC Commissioner, stated that in the case of waterlogging in any area or sewerage blockage, the residents could contact on the free helpline number 1800-1802-103.

Apart from this, the MC has also issued the official mobile numbers of the executive engineers of four constituencies.

The residents can contact with North /East XEN Tilk Raj on 8045014714, Central XEN Vijay Kumar on 9646165007, West XEN Aresh Kumar on 9464227197 and South XEN 9417125227.

Meanwhile, the city received moderate rain a couple of days ago. Rainwater remained accumulated till the late evening on all major roads.

However, MC officials have claimed that they got sewerage lines and drains cleaned before the monsoon. But residents of low-lying areas are complaining of water accumulation in their streets, they added.
