AMRITSAR: To celebrate the 109th birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh on September 28, a special musical evening was held at Alpha One.

To celebrate the 109th birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh on September 28, a special musical evening was held at Alpha One. The crowd cheered to patriotic songs as contestants of Voice of Punjab paid musical tribute to one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement. Sukhvinder Jeet Singh, grandson of Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s brother was the chief guest on the occasion.

“We are extremely pleased to organise this memorable event to pay obeisance to Shaheed Bhagat Singh. He is known for giving a new direction to the revolutionary movement in India,” said Dr Prodipta Sen, MD, Alpha G Corp.

AIATF pays floral tributes

Amritsar: Activists of the All India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF) headed by its vice-president Mohinder Singh Sidhu paid rich tributes to martyr Shaheed Bhagat Singh to mark his birth anniversary that falls on September 28.

Wearing yellow turbans and carrying Tricolours, the activists raised slogans and urged the people to follow the path shown by Bhagat Singh. Speaking on the occasion, Sidhu said they should always strive for a united India. He said youth should pledge for raising a war against drug abuse and denounce terrorism in all its forms. They paid tributes to the martyr at Jallianwala Bagh.
