Naib tehsildars to supervise anti-larva campaign

The Deputy Commissioner has issued instructions for deputy naib tehsildars as duty officers with the teams of the Municipal Corporation (MC) and Health Department while visiting localities to detect dengue larva and issue challans. The instructions were issued after the visiting teams complained that residents in many areas didn’t cooperate and also resorted to hinder work.

Deputy Commissioner Kamaldeep Singh Sangha has asked sub-divisional magistrates to ensure that naib tehsildars go along visiting teams when ever any fogging or anti-larva drive is conducted in their areas. Besides, officials can take police help to ensure that such drives are not hindered, Sangha added. Health teams often complain of misbehaviour during larva checking drives.
