AMRITSAR: The MC’s Advertisement Department has issued notices to several educational institutes and commercial establishments for installing “illegal” boards on their premises.

The MC’s Advertisement Department has issued notices to several educational institutes and commercial establishments for installing “illegal” boards on their premises. As per the norms, commercial organisations can install a board of 3X10ft on this premises.

One has to get permission to increase the size or install more boards for some fee.

Sher Singh, Superintendent, Advertisement, MC, said, “We are concerned for our revenue. If someone wants to install bigger boards, he or she has to pay the fee. Otherwise, we will remove the boards and impose penalty.” — TNS
