Painting contest at KT Kala Kendra

AMRITSAR: An on-the-spot painting competition of schoolchildren was organised at KT Kala Kendra today. As many as 200 students of the 20 schools from Amritsar and Batala participated in the competition. There were five categories of different classes from pre-nursery to X+II.

Amritsar, February 16

An on-the-spot painting competition of schoolchildren was organised at KT Kala Kendra today. As many as 200 students of the 20 schools from Amritsar and Batala participated in the competition. There were five categories of different classes from pre-nursery to X+II.

With no defined theme for the competition, the students submitted their paintings that were later put on display in an exhibition. A total of 40 cash awards were given. In addition to cash prizes, colour boxes were distributed among participants as gifts. They were awarded certificates, besides refreshment.

The jury consisted of Jagmohan Singh, Paramjit Kaur, Aakarshi Sawhni, Vanshika and Brajesh Jolly. Gautam Guha, Principal, Cambridge International, was the chief guest on the occasion. He distributed prizes among winners. — TNS
