Amritsar, February 19

A day after arrest of Ankush Jolly, alias Ricky, a close aide of alleged gangster and illegal financier Kamal Bori, his pictures with prominent political leaders of the ruling party have surfaced.

It has raised many eyebrows on the political patronage of Jolly. Even his social networking status declares that he works with deputy mayor.

However, Inspector General, Special Task Force (STF), Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh said the law would take its own course against whom the police found evidence.

Jolly is currently in the police custody and his interrogation on different lines, including his political links, is under progress. According to STF officials, he is considered right hand of Bori and was equally involved in his crimes.

According to sources many political leaders had approached the STF to help Jolly. The police has maintained that Jolly used to provide shelter, arms and ammunition, besides finances to gangsters at the behest of Bori.

In order to nail gangsters operating in Punjab, the STF has tightened the noose around their associates and financiers.
