Contractual employees of the Education Department have sent a letter to the state government, demanding job regularisation as per the poll promise he made before the Assembly elections this year.
Vikas Kumar, president of the SSA/RMSA Non-Teaching Employees’ Union, said, “Our 30-day hunger strike in Chandigarh was lifted on March 14 after Capt Amarinder Singh assured us that our demands will be met soon. We will be forced to visit the CM office, if he fails to call us for talks.” — TNS
