Amritsar, August 10

The Education Department has issued a show cause notice to private schools for their failure to fulfill the guidelines issued by them regarding e-Punjab portal for schools. They have to reply in 14 days.

The department had on May 10 asked all private schools to upload their information, including students’ detail with their Aadhaar numbers, on the e-Punjab portal.

As schools failed to do so, the department has asked them to come up with the reason behind the non-compliance. In case they don’t do so, the department can initiate necessary action.

The ePunjab school portal has been implemented for all schools of the state. The information is to be updated every month by the schools.
