He had earlier accused Sidhu’s wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu of misusing funds in her constituency. Mandeep Singh said, “Sidhu has blackmailed the Congress to accept his demand for allotment of the party ticket to BJP leaders those who have joined the Congress recently.  He said by doing so, the party had ignored Taksali Congress leaders, who had stood by the party through thick and thin during the SAD-BJP rule of 10 years. tns

Five booked in molestation case

Tarn Taran: Five residents of the Muradpur locality have been booked under Sections 452, 354, 323, 506, 148 and 149 of the IPC in a molestation case. The victim is a 35-year-old woman of the same locality. The incident occurred a week back. The case was registered on Tuesday evening only by the local police. The accused have been identified as Prabhjit Singh, Jugraj Singh, Gurdip Singh, Dilbag Singh and Balwinder Singh. The victim alleged that she was standing outside her house when the accused forcibly entered inside, tore her clothes and molested her. They ran away from the spot when she raised the alarm. OC
