Two held with ganja, charas

Amritsar, April 21

The CIA staff have arrested two persons with 3.5 kg ganja and charas in the city. They have been identified as Balwinder Rai, a resident of Sahan Rampura, Bihar, who has been residing in Pawan Nagar on Batala road, and Arvind Singh of Manipur in Uttar Pradesh, who resides in Mohkampura.

Parminder Singh, investigating officer, said the accused used to bring the contraband from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and sell it in the city to make money. The court sent them to police custody for further probe. — TNS
