Two killed in road mishaps

TARN TARAN: Two persons died in separate road accidents in the city on Tuesday.

Two persons died in separate road accidents in the city on Tuesday. In the first mishap, Khajan Singh was killed when his bike was hit by a ‘gharuka’ (peter rehra) at Pahuwind village near Bhikhiwind. Heera Singh of Narla village, who was driving the ‘gharuka’, has been booked under Sections 304-A, 279 and 427 of the IPC by the Bhikhiwind police.

In the second incident, Balwinder Singh of Chaudhriwala village was killed when he fell from a ‘gharuka’, being driven by Sarup Singh of the same village. The mishap took place four days ago. It has been stated that the accused was rashly driving the rehra that resulted in the mishap.

A case under Sections 304-A and 279 of the IPC has been registered
