Whatsapp number for code violations

City Police Commissioner G Nageshwara Rao has launched a Whatsapp number for lodging complaints about code violations.

While launching the number 978123-100, he appealed to the people to share images, videos of code violations on the number, so that the culprits could be brought to book.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the Chief Election Commission has announced Assembly elections and Amritsar Lok Sabha bypoll slated to be held on February 4. He said with the imposition of the model code of conduct, people could lodge their complaints of violations and upload images or videos regarding this. He said immediate action would be ensured on these complaints.
