Bathinda, January 16
Four persons were injured after a wall collapse on them at Jangirana village today morning.
The victims have been identified as Harbans Singh (40), Jeet Singh (75), Gurmel Singh (40) and Jagdev Singh (50).
Nirmal Singh, village sarpanch, said around 200 villagers were performing sewa at the village’s gurdwara for its renovation.
He said the construction work of the gurdwara had been underway for the past around three years.
The villagers were carrying sand inside the gurdwara. A wall adjoining the gurdwara collapsed and those standing outside were injured.
The sarpanch said four persons received serious injuries and were admitted to a private hospital.
He added that one of the victims was admitted to Max hospital.
