Akal varsity to host 5-day camp

BATHINDA: Akal University will organise a DST INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) camp, sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, from January 17 to 21 on its campus.

Akal University will organise a DST INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) camp, sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, from January 17 to 21 on its campus. Prof MS Johal, Dean, Academic Affairs, and coordinator of the camp, said as many as 150 students of Class XI from 26 schools of nearby region were participating in the camp.

Prof Gurmail Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Akal University, added that the camp would help to inculcate scientific temper among the younger generation. This is a free five-day in-residence camp. The prime aim of the camp is to create awareness about research in science and technology.
