Bathinda, January 16

Apna Punjab Party (APP) candidate Jatinder Roy Khattar today filed his nomination papers for the Assembly election from the Bathinda (Urban) constituency with Returning Officer Sakshi Sawhney.

Khattar was looking confident after filing the nomination papers and said he would create history by winning the elections as people would reject all other candidates.

He said, “People had given a number of chances to the SAD and the Congress. Even they are aware of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and have seen its work in Delhi. After considering all options, APP is the only option for the betterment of Punjab. At present, deteriorating law and order situation is prevailing in the state. If the SAD-BJP alliance returns to power for the third time the situation in the state would worsen further.”

Enlisting various schemes, he said after forming the government his party would eradicate the drug menace from its roots, constitute a police welfare board, canteens for the poor where food at the cost of Rs 10 would be provided and property tax would be abolished.
