Avneet bags four medals in Police Games

BATHINDA: City-based ace shooter and a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Avneet Sidhu has again brought laurels for the country winning four medals in the 2017 World Police and Fire Games, which is going on at Los Angeles (USA).

City-based ace shooter and a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Avneet Sidhu has again brought laurels for the country winning four medals in the 2017 World Police and Fire Games, which is going on at Los Angeles (USA).

Avneet has won a gold medal in the .22 three position team event, silver medal in 50 meter English prone individual and two bronze medals in the 50 meter English prone team event and .22 three position individual event of rifle shooting competitions.

It is pertinent to mention that Avneet has also taken part in 28 international competitions and 12 world cups held in different countries and has one won over 100 medals in different competitions.

Avneet was conferred Arjuna Award on August 29, 2008, by the President of India. She is a recipient of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Award.
