Bathinda: Third inter-college men and women basketball tournament, conducted by Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering and Technology, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, concluded here yesterday. Eight men and five women teams participated in the two-day event. The boys team of MRSPTU Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering Engineering and Technology, Bathinda won gold medal, while Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University Malout and Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering and Technology, Banur won the silver and bronze medal, respectively. The girls team of MIMIT Malout won gold medal, while SBSSTC Ferozepur and MRSPTU Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering & Technology, Bathinda won the silver and bronze medal, respectively. Dr RK Bansal, Dean Student Welfare, MRSPTU, Bathinda gave away the prizes. Workshop on architecture
Bathinda: Technical committee of S.S.D Women’s Institute of Technology, Bathinda, organized a workshop on “CPU Architecture” for the students of MCA-I, BCA-I and MSC (IT)-I classes. The main focus of this workshop was to understand the key concepts (rules and methods) that describe the functionality, organization and implementation of computer system. This workshop was presented by experienced software developer Pankaj Jindal from Skycon Technologies, Bathinda. The workshop has been organized under the guidance of Som Nath Baghla (president of S.S.D Group of Colleges) and Dr Neeru Garg (principal, SSDWIT) by Manisha Bhatnagar (HOD, Computer Science) and Vibha Bansal.
