Bathinda, August 12

Now, there’s no need to submit a written complaint to the Municipal Corporation to clean the garbage lying around as residents can complain about it through Swachhata-MoUD app.

People just have to take a photograph of the garbage and upload it on the cleanliness app.

The photograph will reach the MCB and within 12 hours, the officials concerned will have to address the complaint.

Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the Central Government has launched this app.

As it is connected to the GPS system, the location will be detected and its SMS will immediately reach the mobile phone of the sanitary inspector and supervisor of the area.

After receiving the message, they will have to get the area cleaned and report it to their chief sanitary inspector.

After cleaning, the information will be sent to the Commissioner’s e-mail.

The interesting thing is that this app will be under the supervision of the Central Government.

The time taken by the officials to address the complaint will also be observed and accordingly, the cities will be ranked.

MCB Commissioner Sanyam Aggarwal has directed the officials to resolve all complaints coming on the cleanliness app at the earliest.

Officials have also been told to create more awareness among the people about the app.

Sanyam Aggarwal said any person could download the app by visiting the Google Play Store. It can be downloaded by visiting ichangemycity.

People can even file their complaint on the toll-free number 1969 as well.
