Darvjeet Thakur is president of jewellers’ association

BATHINDA: Darvjeet Thakur of Merry Jewellers has been elected as president of the Jewellers Association of Bathinda.

Darvjeet Thakur of Merry Jewellers has been elected as president of the Jewellers Association of Bathinda.

Tarsem Kumar Khurmi of Sagar Jewellers has been elected as chairman, Raj Kumar Sood of Suhaag jewellers as vice-president, Satinder Jain of Jain Jewellers as secretary, Deepak Grover of Raj Gems as joint secretary, Ashwani Jain of Nasib Chand & Sons as cashier and Amrik Singh of Amrik Jewellers as organising secretary.

Sanjay Jain of Royal Jewellers, Sudhir Jain of Sundar Lal Mohinder Pal Jewellers, KK Sethi of Shiv Jewellers, Rajinder Jain of Mahalakhsmi Jewellers, Surjit Singh of Surjit jewellers, Ajay Kumar Lucky of Super Jewellers, Ashok Singal of Dwarka Jewellers, Bhupinder Singh of Balbir Jewellers and Darshan Ghudda of Unique Silver have been elected as executive members of the association.

Darvjeet Thakur said his team would work to raise the standard of business by making hallmark mandatory for all members of the association so that people get worth of their money.

He said following instructions of the government, they would go for 100 per cent business transactions in white money.
