District level games from Dec 14

Following the guidelines issued by the Punjab Sports Department, the Sports Department, Bathinda, will organize district-level games for men and women in the under-25 category on December 14 and 15.

District Sports Officer Karam Singh has said in these games, the player should have attained the age of 25 years till December 31, i.e. their date of birth should be of January 1, 1993, or later than that.

The DSO said the players who were in Bathinda district, but are currently working in some other district can also come to Bathinda and participate in these games. He said the same was applicable to those belonging to Bathinda, but studying in other districts. Those who belong to other states, but are currently residing in Punjab and have represented Punjab in the national games are also eligible to participate in these games.

He said various places had been selected for hosting these games. Government Sports School, Ghudda, Multipurpose Sports Stadium, Khalsa Senior Secondary School, hockey stadium, Police Public School, MSD School and DAV College have been chosen as venues for the games.

Apart from track events, the kho-kho, boxing, football, basketball, hockey, gymnastics, lawn tennis, table tennis and badminton competitions will be organised over the next two days. — TNS
