Docs spread awareness on govt health insurance

Bathinda: World Nursing Day was observed in Government Hospital Goniana and Max Hospital. The hospital celebrated the day with their nursing staff with full of zest and enthusiasm.

World Nursing Day was observed in Government Hospital Goniana and Max Hospital. The hospital celebrated the day with their nursing staff with full of zest and enthusiasm. 

Nathana hospital also observed the day while the health authorities of Nathana also disseminated information among nurses to create awareness over Bhagat Puran Scheme. 

With a motive to create awareness among the masses about the Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Bima Yojna, the nurses were informed about the new guidelines and steps to be followed for creating awareness among the masses.

Civil Hospital employee Rohit Kumar said, “The nurses are backbone of the health care and we should respect their dedication and work but we also disseminate the information about the Bhagat Puran Scheme under which blue card holders gets treatment for free of cost upto Rs 50,000 including the cost of travelling, operation, medicines, tests, registration fee, and other expenses.”

He said, “All poor patients, having blue cards issued by state government, can assess to treatment in empanelled private hospitals besides being authorised to get treatment from government hospitals for any ailment. However the beneficiary has to pay only Rs 30 once in a year.”
