BATHIDNA: Another snatching incident has been reported in the city. In the past four days, four snatching incidents have been reported.

Another snatching incident has been reported in the city. In the past four days, four snatching incidents have been reported.

Three have taken place in the area of the Civil Lines police station while one was reported from Deep Nagar under the Canal Colony police station.

Murti Devi, wife of Somnath, a resident of Aggarwal Colony, was sitting with other women of the colony near Ram Sharnam Temple.

Two persons came on a black-coloured motorcycle. One of them snatched her earrings and fled from the spot.

Congress leader Pawan Maani, a local resident, said his mother was also present on the spot. He immediately informed the Civil Lines police station.

Kuldeep Singh, SHO at the Civil Lines police station, said he had not got any information about snatching.

However, he would check if any incident of snatching took place.

Rani, a resident of Deep Nagar, lost her earrings to snatchers in Deep Nagar. Parveen Goyal, a resident of the area opposite Teen Cinema lost her gold chain to snatchers near Alankar Cinema.

Sangeeta Sharma, a resident Bheekhi of Mansa, lost a purse to snatchers, which contained two mobile phones and earrings.

A case has been registered by the police at the Canal Colony police station under Section 379B of the IPC. — TNS
