Ex-AAP leader to contest as Independent from Mansa

BATHINDA:Former Aam Adami Party (AAP) leader Satpal Singla today announced to contest the Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Mansa.

Bathinda, January 11

Former Aam Adami Party (AAP) leader Satpal Singla today announced to contest the Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Mansa. He said the party failed to investigate the allegations of corruption levelled against its candidate from Mansa. In the past too, a few AAP members had accused the party candidate of being involved in corruption, he added.

He said they had filed a complaint with the senior leaders of the party, but to no avail. “AAP promised that it will give tickets to those candidates who have a clean image, but has given tickets to those who are either rich or are accused in criminal or corruption cases,” he said.

However, Najar Singh Manshahia could not be contacted despite repeated attempts. — TNS
