Bathinda: A five-day ICT-based short-term faculty development course on ‘Wireless Networks’ started at the Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering and Technology (GZSCCET) on Monday. In all, 47 faculty members from various colleges are attending the course. The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh, is organising the programme as a remote centre at the GZSCCET. TNS
Students shine in exams
Bathinda: Students of the SSD Women’s Institute of Technology, Bathinda, brought laurels to their alma mater by performing well in the semester examinations, the results of which were declared by Punjabi University, Patiala, recently. In BCA-I, Muskan Garg secured the first position in the college getting 83.6 per cent marks in the first semester exams. The second position went to Priyanka with 83.5 per cent while Gagandeep Kaur attained the third position with 82.3 per cent marks. In BBA-I, Shivangi bagged the first position with 81 per cent marks in the first semester while Jasnoor Kaur secured the second position with 80.8 per cent. The third position went to Sandeep Kaur. In BBA-II, Amandeep Kaur secured the first position with 80 per cent marks in the third semester while Archita Garg bagged the second position with 79.3 per cent and Sukhdeep Kaur the third position with 79 per cent marks. College president Somnath Baghla, secretary Ajay Gupta, administrative secretary Vikas Kumar Garg, principal Manisha Bhatnagar and faculty members congratulated the students. TNS
